You’ll learn essential self-rescue skills and problem-solving techniques using only the equipment you already carry — no need for specialist rescue gear.

Ideal for regular climbers looking to prepare for emergencies like assisting a stuck or injured partner when help isn’t immediately available.

Training happens in a safe, friendly environment before moving to real-world scenarios.

Topics

Refresh of basic knots and core rope work.

Multi-point anchors and belaying techniques using nuts, friends , hammer and pitons.

Casualty evacuation using Y-hangs or equivalent setups.

Pulley systems.

Ascending and descending fixed ropes.

Thinking clearly under pressure: developing simple solutions for complex problems.

Equipment: harness, helmet, climbing shoes, rope, personal trad-gear (if available), 2 HMS carabiner, ATC belay device or similar, screw-gate carabiners, slings and cords

Equipment rental: available upon request.

Duration: 2 to 3 days, from 6 to 8 hours each.
