Normal Route - An easy yet rewarding climb for those drawn to the summit of this granite cathedral.

A classic alpine journey: mostly easy scrambling, a few exposed moves, and big views.

The perfect way for beginners to reach the summit of this granite giant. Early in the season, snow adds a touch of spice — ice axe and crampons may come in handy.

This ascent can also serve as a rewarding “mountaineering day” for those crossing Val Masino along the Sentiero Roma.

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate /400 m, III. Easy scrambling with a few harder sections.

Equipment:

Harness, helmet, comfortable climbing shoes, chalk, one HMS carabiner, belay/rappel device with a dedicated carabiner, and a 120 cm sling or personal anchor system (PAS).

Backpack (30–35 liters)

Clothing for alpine ascents and for an overnight stay in a hut.

Early in the season, crampons and ice axe may be required for the approach.
