PUNTA RASICA
Via Bramani — A historic and rewarding climb to a sharp summit in the wilderness of high Valmasino.
The Bramani Route on Punta Rasica is a long and beautiful alpine journey in one of the most isolated corners of Valmasino. The climb follows slabs, corners, and arêtes of excellent granite, leading to a striking, airy summit. It's not just the line that impresses, but the spirit behind it: the route was first climbed by Vitale Bramani in 1935 — the same man who, after a tragic descent on this mountain, went on to invent the Vibram sole.
Today, the Bramani is rarely crowded, and its adventurous character invites reflection on the boldness and resourcefulness of early alpinists. With moderate difficulty and a serious but never extreme feel, it’s perfect for those looking for a rewarding day in a wild setting, far from the beaten path.
