Despite nowadays Val di Mello and Val Masino are famous for rock climbing, some of the highest peaks are perfect for a more “classic” mountaineering.

Moreover, few kilometres north, just behind Val Masino’s main ridge, lies Piz Bernina, the most eastern 4.000 meter-peak of the Alps.
